Last night, my party walked out of a room. A walkout happens when conversation has already broken down. When decisions are made without honest discussion, people stop feeling like partners. I believe what we need more of is not strategy, but sincerity. What happens between parties often mirrors society. So I wish for more conscious leaders, who would rather sit down and talk than win a power struggle. Every hour spent on infighting is an hour taken from the people we serve. That is the kind of politics I want to be part of.
