Privacy
What this website does with information about you. In short: no cookies, no analytics, and an enquiry form that sends nothing by itself.
Reading the site
The pages are built in advance and served as they are. Nothing on them records who you are or what you read: the pages themselves set no cookies, run no analytics or advertising, and load no tracking code. Their fonts and pictures come from this site, not from other companies’ servers.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the technical details a browser sends with every request, such as its IP address, the page asked for and the kind of browser, in order to deliver the page. What Cloudflare does with them is covered by its own privacy policy.
The enquiry form
The form on the contact page does not send or store anything. When you press “Compose the enquiry”, it writes your name, your email address, the nature of the matter and your note into a new email in your own mail app, addressed to her. Nothing reaches her unless you send that email yourself.
While you type, what you write stays in the browser tab. This site does not save it anywhere, and closing the tab discards it.
If your mail app does not open, the page keeps the message on screen, for you to copy or to open in Gmail or Outlook.com. Choosing one of those passes the message to Google or Microsoft, as it would if you had typed it into their site yourself.
Sharing and links
The share buttons under each article are plain links. They reach WhatsApp, Telegram, LinkedIn or X only if you choose one, and then only to open that service with the article’s title and address filled in. Copying a link, or using your device’s own share sheet, involves no one else until you pick where to send it.
Links to other websites, such as the newspapers her pieces first appeared in, lead to sites with privacy practices of their own.
When you write to her
An email you send reaches the address it is written to, like any other email, and is read so that it can be answered. Please leave confidential details out of a first message: an enquiry does not create a solicitor–client relationship.
To ask how your correspondence is kept, or about personal data you have sent, write to her through the contact page.
The law
In Malaysia, the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 governs the processing of personal data in commercial transactions.
