Twelve years of practice in this area, two-thirds of it on the side of the petitioner. Matters are taken on a written brief; outcomes are described in the same plain English the court would use.

- 05Protection orders under the Domestic Violence Act 1994.
- 06Cross-jurisdictional matters where one party is resident abroad.
ii.How the work proceeds
- 01.A written enquiryA paragraph by email is enough. Initial response within five working days.
- 02.First meetingOne hour, in chambers or by video. Confidential. No fee for the first half-hour where the matter is unlikely to proceed.
- 03.Engagement letterScope, fee basis, and an estimated timeline in writing before any work begins.
- 04.Conduct of matterMonthly written updates as a minimum; a final statement on disposal.
iii.On fees
Fee basis is hourly for advisory work and fixed for uncontested matters. A detailed schedule is provided in the engagement letter; nothing is opaque.
