Socso had finally heard our voices and withdrew their directive to impose stringent conditions on subsidising dialysis. This is, beyond the shadow of a doubt, a victory for the working-class of Malaysia.
Alongside MTUC, MCA had gone to great lengths to protest Socso for tightening the requirements for dialysis treatment. We spared no expense to safeguard the welfare of workers, going as far as promising to initiate legal proceedings if they refused to reverse their decision.
